The promotional poster was first posted on the SlashLeaks, and as blurry as it looks, it does seem to look rather legit. Unsurprisingly, the text on it is in Chinese, but there are some visual cues and texts that are more or less easy to interpret from it. First off, the main camera module at the back of the supposed Mate 30 Pro. Compared to the current Mate 20 series’ square-shaped triple-camera module, the housing on this phone is circular, and has a concentric circle surrounding its perimeter. More importantly, you can also make the four camera sensors housed inside the module, while the LED flash is located on the outside.
Another visual cue is the phone’s display. Like Samsung and its obsession with its punch-hole displays, it looks like Huawei isn’t quite ready to give up the notch on the Mate 30 Pro. Lastly, the Chinese text on in the poster seem to suggest that the Mate 30 Pro will be shipping out with Huawei’s upcoming and more powerful chipset, the Kirin 990, which in itself isn’t surprising. Back when Huawei announced the Kirin 980 SoC, the first set of smartphones to ship out with it was the then flagship chip Mate 20 series.
