Hints of the CPUs with their high core counts were leaked via a tweet by popular leakster APISAK (@TUM_APISAK). To be precise, his tweet listed down that he discovered a 16-core CPU running on AMD’s upcoming Zen 2 CPU architecture. The further details its base and boost clock speed. Of 3.3GHz and 4.2GHz, respectively. The tweet goes on to say that the CPU in question had been tested on an “MB X570”; clearly a direct reference to AMD’s upcoming X570 motherboard series. Unfortunately, APISAK was unable to decode the name of the CPU in question.

Who responded to APISAK’s tweet with one of his own. Saying that AMD was indeed sharing two CPU SKUs to motherboard makers. And despite being unable to share any additional details on the matter, Jim ended his tweet saying that the 12-cores Ryzen 3000 CPU will have “really high clock speeds.” But is uncertain if the CPU’s performance and benchmark numbers will make online before their impending launch.
