If you’re a user of Facebook Messenger, then you’ll undoubtedly find the chat bubble feature to be familiar. Beta 2 basically brings these bubbles as standard feature for multitasking. Again, much like Messenger, the floating bubble keeps conversations ongoing while allowing you to message and interact with people, without having to switch between apps entirely.
Moving on, Google also implemented a foldable emulator. Enabling developers to build Android Q apps for foldable devices. Though foldable devices are not commercially available yet, it is expected that smartphone makers such as Samsung and Huawei will start releasing foldable phones in the future.
Other Android Q Beta 2 will also include better gesture controls, improved sharing menu and more control over audio capture. Android Q Beta 2 is currently only available for download on all Google Pixel devices. Suffice to say, we can expect more updates to be made about the mobile OS during this year’s Google I/O event.
