Known internally as Project Titan, the Cupertino giant has apparently been working on the so-called Apple Car since 2014. The vehicle which will feature self-driving technology is said to utilise a “monocell” battery that could increase its range and is also more cost-effective to be mass produced. However, the renowned Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo has stated in his latest research note that the Apple Car would only be launched sometime between 2025 to 2027. Even then, this is only if things progressed smoothly for the company. Kuo also stated that the launch timeline could slip even further to 2028 and beyond due to changes within the autonomous driving and EV industry. Another contributing factor to this uncertainty is the high standards that Apple has for its products. All in all, nothing is fully confirmed when it comes to the Apple Car for the time being. Then again, we are not even sure if Malaysia will be ready for it as the country still does not have a clear direction and policy for EV at the time being. (Source: MacRumors.
