The mode is called Firestorm, and if the video tutorial is anything to go by, the map looks massive. In terms of gameplay, the standard rules of battle royale seem to apply; you start off by parachuting off a plane, choosing where to land. Either solo or in a team. Over time, the map will shrink, forcing players to confront each other. Weapons appear at random across the map, and come in three tiers – Common, Rare, and Epic. Unlike most battle royale titles, though, there are no individual weapon attachments. Judging from the video, the attachments will come pre-fitted, with Rare and Epic tier weapons sporting more beneficial attachment. Such as scopes, extended magazines, and silencers. Unlike a typical game in BFV, one of the more welcome perks of Firestorm is the ability to fire a sidearm while knocked down. In this scenario, you can still be revived by your teammate. If you’re killed, though, you’re knocked out for the remainder of the game.

There are also objectives and safes scattered throughout the map, much like a typical Battlefield game. In Firestorm mode, capturing these objectives will give you access to the various perks like Epic reinforcements, rare loot, and access to special vehicles such as tanks. As pointed out by Hot Hardware, there’s no indication that the leaked video is the real deal. Further, neither EA nor DICE have yet to release an official statement about the mode. As such, it is possible that both the final build and tutorial video could be different. So take this with a grain of salt, at least until the mode’s supposed spring release. (Source: Hot Hardware)
