The game’s free-to-play status was implemented on 27 November and will continue on until 5 December 2019 (remember, we’re a day ahead). Do note that the game is simply playable for free during this special week, and is not a free-to-keep game. Once the free-to-play period ends, you lose all access to the game until you purchase the full game. Should you choose to purchase the game right now, you’ll be happy to know that the game is currently on sale, with the standard edition costing just US$14.99 (~RM62) and the Legendary edition retailing for US$19.99 (~RM83).

Overwatch was first released in May 2016. Available on the PC and all current-generation game consoles, the game helped Blizzard gross more than US$1 billion (~RM4.17 billion) in its first year. Last month, Blizzard also announced Overwatch 2, a sequel to the original game, but fell short of providing a release date for the game.
