The company is now reportedly testing cross-posting from Faceboom to Instagram, as revealed by reverse engineer Jane Manchun Wong. When you’ve got a Facebook Story ready to go, you can find the option to cross-post to Instagram under Privacy. It will appear at the bottom of the list as a toggle, after you’ve selected who you want to allow to see your story.

It’s already out of its internal-only prototyping phase, and is now being tested with users. The company did not say where or with whom the feature is being tested. This may stop showing you duplicate stories that you may have seen on one platform but not the other. But as for when it will actually roll out, the company did not say.
