With the new pricing structure, delivery fees for selected restaurants in Klang Valley that are less than 1km away will be charged as low as RM2. Whereas for locations outside of the area, the same amount is applied for selected eateries that are less than 2.5km away. According to Grab, the company will be subsidising the delivery fees that are lower than RM5 to its delivery partners in order to ensure fair compensation.

Next up is the new subscription-based GrabFood Signatures Value Packages, which features discount vouchers for several restaurants such as Texas Chicken, Secret Recipe, KyoChon and others. The company said that customers will be able to save RM50 on each order from these packages and can be used with over 1,000 of its partners nationwide with no minimum spend required. Grab added that the vouchers come in three packages to suit “every customer’s lifestyle and budget.”

Lastly is the new Free Deliveries category on the platform for those who are looking for a more budget-friendly option. However, Grab did not explain if there are certain limitations for this category, but noted that this approach aims to provide its partners an avenue to boost their visibility and awareness across the platform. Additionally, the company said that it is planning to include more restaurants soon in order to offer a wider variety of selection for customers. (Source: Grab press release / Official website)
