Originally revealed to the world at CES 2019 before making its global debut at MWC 2019 alongside the Mate X foldable 5G phone, the new laptop was built upon the foundation left by MateBook X Pro. Featuring a 13-inch FullView IPS touchscreen with 3:2 aspect ratio, the display on MateBook 13 also has a native resolution of 2160 x 1440 alongside 300 nits maximum brightness, pixel density of 200ppi, and 100% sRGB color gamut.
Based on its global specs, the MateBook 13 can be obtained with up to 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8565U processor, 8GB LPDDR3-2133 RAM, NVIDIA GeForce MX150 with 2GB GDDR5 VRAM, and PCIe 512GB solid state drive. Alongside a 42Whr battery that provides the laptop with up to 10 hours of 1080p video playback, the MateBook 13 comes standard with a Quick Charge charger that allows the laptop to achieve 2.5 hours of operational time with just 15 minutes of charging. Together with Dolby Atmos enhancement for its headphones output and built-in fingerprint scanner in its power button, the MateBook 13 also supports Huawei Share 3.0 that allows users to quickly transfer files from their phone with just a tap. That being said, this particular feature is currently supported by only a handful of Huawei and Honor phones with NFC and EMUI 9.0 or later.
