According to the official Waze report, saved destinations from one’s desktop will be synchronised immediately to the mobile app version of Waze. Naturally, this means that users will no longer be required to key in a destination on their mobile devices if they have already done so via web. Waze seemingly to have also bagged a trick or two from WhatsApp by implementing new QR code based features. Users can log in to the Live Map feature on their desktop by scanning a custom QR code on screen with their smartphone camera. From there, they can enter a destination of choice along with the starting point, key in estimated arrival time and transfer the information to the mobile app by clicking “Save to app”. Apart from this, Waze has added an update to its app which provides users with push notifications that suggests departure times based on real-time traffic information.
