However, it looks like fans might have to wait a little longer before we see any of these classic characters make a big screen appearance under the MCU banner. According to THR, head of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige is currently still focused on all the MCU movies that are in various stages of development/production such as Spider-Man: Far From Home, Black Widow, The Eternals and Shang-Chi. Apart from that, Marvel Studios is also currently developing Black Panther 2, Doctor Strange 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3.  THR also went on to say the following:

But this doesn’t mean that Feige hasn’t been thinking about X-Men and Fantastic Four and all the cool things he could do with them. Back in June 2018, Feige casually mentioned in an interview that concerning those properties, he was simply “waiting for a phone call to say yay or nay.” In the same THR report, it’s also mentioned that Ryan Reynolds’ version Deadpool would most likely be the only previously Fox-owned Marvel character to not be rebooted.

Could we be getting a bigger hint of what’s about to come at San Diego Comic-Con or maybe even D23? Perhaps. All we can do for now is speculate without worrying too much about it. After all, under the leadership of Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios has given us a truly unique experience over the past decade. (Source: The Hollywood Reporter)
