The minister further added that the main objective is to make the process as easy as possible. Furthermore, this would encourage the public to use the app more often. Minister Khairy also said that the announcement regarding this new approach is expected to take place within the next few weeks.
At the same time, he has also announced that the AstraZeneca (AZ) vaccine will be placed back into the main PICK rollout. This means that the vaccine will not be offered through a separate registration session as per what has been done on 2 May as well as between 23 to 26 May. In general, these sessions have shown that the public is now willing to accept the vaccine. Additionally, the authorities are also now hoping that they will no longer have to face the barrage of complaints following the massive amount of technical problems and horrible user experience that popped up during these sessions.
